Many thanks to all 168 runners who turned up for the Gravy Pud Fell Race. Our biggest ever field for the fell race saw some of the wettest and coldest weather we have had to contend with while staging the race. But it wasn’t to put off so many keen and supportive runners flocking to Tintwistle for this 5 mile fell race. This years fell race was in support of the Seasheal Trust. The money raised at the event was forwarded to the Seashell Trust who have put the money towards their award winning CADS programme which provides inclusive sporting opportunities for some of the most disabled children and young people in the area. Domonic Tinner, Director of Development at the Seashell Trust has forwarded me a letter of thanks for the money donated from the race, so thank you very much for supporting our fell race. Thank you also to the marshalls, race officials and Mr Mike Welford (Our very loyal time keeper for NBLG events) in making sue the event is successful and safe.
We have been informed that there might be a few errors on the results sheets. We are working on sorting out any problems identified to us but it is proving difficult, but we will do our best to ensure an accurate set of results is produced shortly. No excuses from us, but battling the weather proved difficult.
Once again, many thanks from everyone involved with NBLG and we look forward to seeing you at our Gravy 6 Trail Race in summer and watch this space for updates on a possible summer evening running of the Gravy Pud.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
